STANTON, CALIF. (MARCH 29, 2022) – Republican Assembly Candidate Emily Hibard Received 2/3 Of The Votes For Endorsement In The Most Crowded Race In the State. CRA Members Endorsed The Small Business Owner Over Three Current Republican City Councilmembers.
Republican Assembly candidate Emily Hibard announced today that the California Republican Assembly (CRA) has endorsed her bid for the 70th Assembly District seat.
Famously known for being called the “Conscience of the Republican Party” by former California Governor Ronald Reagan, the CRA is one of the most sought after endorsements among Republicans. The endorsement of the CRA is critical in a campaign that features several Republican candidates.
“I am so proud to have the endorsement of the California Republican Assembly. To receive 2/3rd of the votes from all of the chapters in the 70th Assembly District really shows the deep conservative support our campaign has. In a race with the most candidates in California, I thought it was nearly impossible, but this endorsement from the ‘Conscience of the Republican Party’ proves that I am the one candidate in this race that will be a relentless voice for safe neighborhoods and for business-friendly policies,” said Hibard. “I think my positive message, plus my personal experience with crime, will be hard for these Sacramento politicians to ignore.”
CRA Chapters from all over Orange County met this Saturday, March 26, 2022, at the Northwest Orange County Republican Headquarters on Beach Blvd. in Stanton to make endorsements in races for Congress, State Senate, State Assembly, and any county offices up for election in 2022. To receive the endorsement of the statewide organization for AD70, a candidate had to get 2/3rd of the votes from the CRA Chapters in the 70th Assembly District – which includes the cities of Garden Grove, Westminster, Fountain Valley, Stanton, Rossmoor, and Los Alamitos as well as portions of Santa Ana, Huntington Beach, Seal Beach, and Midway City.
The Republican candidate that wins the election on June 7, 2022 will likely face off against Garden Grove Mayor Pro-Tem Diedre Thu-Ha Nguyen in November for the open 70th Assembly District seat. AD70 is currently represented by Republican Janet Nguyen, who is running for the State Senate. The 70th District has a D+2 registration advantage, and Joe Biden won this seat by only 0.4% in 2020.
Los Alamitos resident, Emily Hibard, is a small business owner and nonprofit organizational efficiency consultant. Emily will be a relentless voice for business-friendly policies because Emily’s family has been manufacturing paper goods in Southern California for over seventy years. Her grandfather, a U.S. Marine, married her grandmother, a Mexican immigrant, and, together, started the family business in pursuit of the American dream. Emily is the author of three nonprofit books, helps people start their own nonprofits, and consults with existing organizations to ensure their programs are efficient and effective.
